Skincare Routine

May 10, 2019

Hey, Hi, Hello!

Thanks for joining me on this magnificent Friday afternoon.

Today I'm sharing my current skincare routine that has truly brought my skin back to life since moving from the delicious Florida humidity to the harsh, dry, pollutant-ridden Washington, D.C. (jk I love it here!) but seriously there's a lot that happens to your skin in the transition from beach to big city. So, I'm here to tell you exactly what I do, DAY & NIGHT, to keep my skin glow-city.

Step 1 : Caudalie Toner

A hydrating toner that soothes and strengthens the skin, boosting the effectiveness of your entire skincare regimen. I don't like to over-cleanse my skin so this is great for the A.M.-- to rid toxins and lock in some morning moisture!

Step 2 : Serum

PEOPLE. This is the one product I can live without! It truly rescued my skin and is the only product I use day and night. Not only is it amazing for sensitive skin but it completely repairs your epidermal barrier. The epidermal barrier retains water and electrolytes in your skin as well as acts as a barrier against microorganism invasion-- important stuff. You can use this as a serum like I do or use it as a spot treatment for texture or pimples!

*** I found the best price ever-- I'll be stocking up.

Step 3 : Eye Cream

This #1 best-selling eye cream targets wrinkles that appear around the delicate eye area, including crow’s feet, and fine lines caused by puffiness. It visibly smooths and restores, while firming. This teensy jar promotes collagen production and instantly refreshes tired eyes by plumping the skin with much-needed moisture. The only thing thats missing is some cooling affect,

I love an eye cream with a icey sensation. Brrrr

Step 4 : Moisturizer

A one-of-a-kind hydrating cream face mask that delivers rich hydration and a radiant complexion. I've raved about this product so many times. I've gradually promoted this product from "mask" to my everyday moisturizer. This stuff is the real deal and my skin is as smooth as a baby's bottom because of  it!

Step 5: Sunscreen

On days where I want to do minimal to my skin I'll skip step 3 + 4 and go straight to the sunscreen. I've spoke about how important it is to protect your face from the sun on even the cloudiest of days. This stuff is the best sunscreen on the market for a reason.

Step 1 : Face Wash

I'm not gonna lie, this Fabulous Face Cleanser costs a pretty penny. But I love how effectively it cleanses without disturbing the skin's natural tonal balance. A mild olive-derived cleanser boosted with purifying and hydrating botanicals cleanses gently without stripping. It's great for normal, combination, sensitive and dry skin. Aesop is an Australian brand who's products are formulated with natural botanics and scientifically validated ingredients of the highest quality-- $$ worth the splurge.

Step 2 : Caudalie Toner

Step 3 : Serum

Step 4 : Eye Cream

Step 5 : Night Time Moisturizer

Another amazing mask I like to use as a moisturizer. My facialist got me hooked on this brightening mask and now  use it every night. This luscious, creamy mask is packed with natural botanicals to soothe, protect, and brighten dull skin. Oats, combined with wild pansies speed up the recovery of distressed skin and calm irritation. Resveratrol from grape extracts protects the skin from environmental stress, while the powerful blueberry reduces the appearance of facial redness. Light-reflecting particles ensure your skin gets an immediate glow. LOVE.

Step 6: Sleep Tanning Oil

This overnight oil refreshes and visibly brightens skin while you sleep. This product also includes raspberry, kendi, argan, marula, jojoba, and apricot oils that rejuvenate look and feel of skin. The oil reacts with the amino acids on the skin’s surface to create a naturally radiant glow without staining the skin.

Stay tuned for more Friday Favorites!

+ comment your favs, excited to try everything you're loving!

xx Kenzie
